FAQ

1. How did you start making comics?
I started by grabbing a pencil, a note book, and I just drew whatever story came to mind. My oldest comic dates back to when I was five. I started to make my comics more seriously about eight years ago by studying artstyles, porportions, and various other art subjects.
2. What tools or software do you use to make your work?
I use bristol board, a 102 hunt tip quill pen, water colors and inkwash. I use photoshop for editing and formatting.
3. How do you stay motivated and inspired?
The easy way to answer that is I'm not motivarted all the time to make my comics. Most of the time I'd rather read or take a nap. The reason I keep working on my comics is because I want to get my work out there. And sadly, reading or napping doesn't do that.
4. How do you handle creative blocks?
Stubborness. I refuse to not go a day without working on a page. If I'm severely lacking in creativity that day I tend to read other comic books I like for inspiration.
5. How long does it take to make one of your comics?
It depends on what life throws at me, usually three to five months from idea to printed book. The time of actual artwork usually takes only half of that time. The other path is contemplating the best way to tell my story.
